Large Box Elder salad or fruit bowl. About the Artist - James Walt I have been turning full time for over 8 years here in Quinte West (Trenton). I am currently a member of the Quinte Wood turning guild, Arts Quinte West, Quinte Arts Council and the AAW (American Association of Wood turners) Aside from turning I also coach, council and teach other wood turners. As a member of these groups I also do shows and demo’s of wood turning when allowed before and hopefully after Covid. My pieces are signed as “Grumpsy”. A name I proudly carry that was given to me by my first Grandson 10 years ago. Each piece has a code number also on the bottom” that I use to track my inventory. I do custom turning for customers who have a need to save a piece of history or memory of a special tree etc. After 40+ years in the pulp and paper industry I have found wood turning has allowed me to grow my artistic side and develop a style of my own. I attach a document that explains why todays finishes are all safe if they are allowed to cure properly, included with all of my utilitarian pieces. Shipping & handling is included in the price.
