Established in 1992, the Ontario Woodlot Association (OWA) is a not-for-profit organization governed by an elected, volunteer board of directors. We are working to ensure that Ontario’s privately owned forests will continue to contribute to the health of our society, our environment and the economy.
The OWA promotes the wise use of private forests, helps landowners engage in sustainable forest management and advocates for healthy, productive, intact woodlands for future generations.
Become a Friend
As a Friend of the OWA, your $20 donation will help us continue our work. You will receive our monthly e-letter “News from around the Woodlot”, have your name added to our Book of Friends on our website and be kept informed of upcoming events and program developments.
Become a Champion Donor
With a donation of $25 or more, you become a Champion Donor and, along with our thanks and monthly e-letter, will have your name placed on the Wall of Champions with annual acknowledgement in quarterly newsletter The Ontario Woodlander, at our annual general meeting and permanently on our website.
With your help, the OWA will better positioned to stay on top of key issues such as invasive species, climate change, species at risk, watershed management, wildlife protection etc. All funds are applied to OWA’s objectives and to provide woodlot owners, and the public, with relevant woodlot tours, workshops, newsletters and other publications, hands-on-activities, woodlot conferences, etc.
Whether you become a Member, a Champion Donor or a Friend, you will be helping us carry on our work as stewards of biodiversity in Ontario.
