Dean Assinewe is an indigenous registered professional forester who runs Green Legacy farms with his family in Bonfield, Ontario. Dean and his family are involved in many exemplary stewardship activities that includes having an Environmental Farm plan, raising bees and chickens, sustainably harvesting firewood, preparing his forest for maple syrup production, running a small saw mill and much more.
