An Introduction to Fruit Tree Grafting
Saturday April 29, from 1-4pm
with Chenoa Marshall


A hands-on workshop that will cover the basic principles of fruit tree grafting. Three grafting techniques will be explored as well as safety, collection of scion material, and root stock growth. Learn how to harvest and store your own scions and how to order and grow your own root stock. You will get to practice and complete at least two whip and tongue apple tree grafts on potted seedling rootstock to take home with you.

Whether this knowledge and skill will translate to one diverse and bountiful tree or an orchard full of different flavours, this course appeals to all fruit tree enthusiasts.
