Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry: Fall Woodlot Tour

  • 24 Oct 2026
  • 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Join Tyler and Vivian Harbers on a tour of their native plant and tree nursery, including seed storage, nursery production, and propagation greenhouses

Nestled in the heart of a sugar bush just shy of an hours drive south of Ottawa, this little gem is a great place to visit on a warm spring maple weekend. Crafted with care, we use a mix of modern technology and traditional methods in the production of our maple syrup. We look forward to sharing our love of our craft every spring and we hope to see you there.

Phil Duncan, forester at the SDG Counties will give a guided tour of the recent thinning operations conducted at Whipperwill Forest. This 250 acre property has a mix of hardwood and softwood species and has recently undergone selective harvesting to open up tree canopy and promote new growth.
