Limestone and Quinte Chapters are holding an Introduction to Chainsaw Safety Workshop on September 28th at Queen's University's Kennedy Research Station beginning at 9:00 am.
The morning is spent in the classroom discussing safety equipment, the proper handling of a chainsaw and techniques for felling, limbing and bucking.
The afternoon is spent in the woods, practicing notches and back cuts, as well as limbing and bucking.
The cost is $40 for OWA members and participants must bring a full set of safety equipment and their own chainsaw.
